RESUMED DISCUSSIONS WITH THE LOGAN COLLEGE TASK FORCE ON COOPERATIVE SPINECARE

Discussion was resumed between representatives of the AASP Academy Council and the Logan College Task force on Cooperative Spinecare. Logan confirmed its commitment to sponsoring AASP online continuing education programs. This provides physicians with CME/CE approval for state relicensure in many sites. Logan will be applying for continuing education credit approval in all 50 states. The final position of each state will be provided to the AASP by Logan College and will subsequently be posted on the continuing education area of the AASP website. The group also discussed the necessary steps to for the implementation of a dedicated spine education resource center within the Logan College Library. The AASP offered to send an educational team comprised of at least one chiropractic physician and one neurosurgeon to speak to the entire college student body each semester about the essential role of the chiropractic physican and the neurosurgeon in spinecare and the benefits of interdisciplinary cooperative spinecare.
